Our friendly reception staff will  prepare all the relevant material for your appointment  prior to your consult: 

Your doctor’s referral 

Your personal details from your patient registration form 

Contact details of your referring doctor, GP and other doctors involved in your care 

Copies of relevant pathology and imaging results 

Please bring the following: 

Current medications and dosages

Copies of all relevant scans which we may need to review in person (X-rays, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine scans, bone mineral density, thyroid ultrasound)

Blood glucose meter (if you have one) 

Record of recent glucose readings (if available) 

Beaches Endocrinology is a private billing practice. Our reception staff will advise you of the cost of your appointments. This will also be detailed in the Patient Registration form you will receive via email. Payments are required on the day of consultation. We will automatically submit your claim to Medicare so you will generally receive the rebate in your account within 24 hours.  Health Care Card holders and Pensioners are not routinely bulk-billed but will receive reduced fees.  

 If you wish to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we kindly request that you inform us at least 24 hours prior so that we can offer your appointment slot to another patient. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.

Beaches Endocrinology only offers Initial consultations via Telehealth to patients with osteoporosis. Other patients should have a face-to-face initial consultation so they can have a full system examination. They can schedule their follow up appointments via Telehealth as required. 

The government has subsidised Telehealth during COVID-19 till the end of 2021.
